Inauguration of the Ramses Exhibition in Sydney

The Egyptian Consulate General in Sydney is thrilled to announce the grand opening of the “Ramses & the Gold of the Pharaohs” exhibition at the Australian Museum, which took place yesterday. This monumental event was graced by the presence of Dr. Mustafa Waziry, the esteemed head of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities, and our esteemed Consul General, Mr.Mohamed Khalil.

This exhibition, more than 3,000 years in the making, showcases over 180 ancient Egyptian treasures. It is the largest cultural exhibition to visit Australia in over a decade. The exhibition is a testament to the rich and vibrant history of Egypt and its Pharaohs.

Dr. Mustafa Waziry, in his opening remarks, highlighted the significance of this exhibition in fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of Egypt’s rich cultural heritage. He expressed his delight at the collaboration between Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Australian Museum.
We were also honored to have the renowned archaeologist Dr. Zahi Hawass deliver a heartfelt speech via video. His words truly captured the spirit of this historic event and the enduring allure of Egypt’s golden history.
