Ladies and Gentlemen,

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the website of the Consulate-general of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Sydney.

Implementing a presidential Decree, I am privileged to announce the assumption of my role as Consul-General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Sydney, Effective the 1st of August 2022.

Egypt and Australia have close relations stretching back a long time ago. I feel proudly responsible for being chosen to represent Egypt in Sydney. Statistics indicate that it embraces more than one hundred thousand of Egyptian Origin, forty thousand of whom were born in Egypt.

During my stay in Sydney, I will set my sights on promoting mutual interests and pushing them forward to broader horizons for the mutual benefit of the Egyptian and Australian peoples.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt is dedicated to being a gateway for communication with the outside world, the improvement of the quality of services provided through the consular missions abroad to the Egyptian community, the students on scholarships from the Ministry of higher education, and Australian citizens residing within the Consulate General’s jurisdiction in the states of New South Wales, Queensland, and the Northern Territories.

I hereby encourage the Egyptian community and Australian citizens to communicate with the consulate-general in Sydney through its official channels; Telephone, postal services, E-mail, and social media platforms.

In conclusion, I would like to take this opportunity to assure the keenness of the consulate-general and its members to improve the quality of its services. In addition, The Consulate-general is pleased to receive your suggestions in this regard to be submitted to the competent authorities in Egypt.
