Notary Services (power of attorney)
Notary services are exclusively offered to Egyptian citizens who apply in person at the Consulate.
The Consulate may not offer advice on personal/private legal matters.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Original valid National ID card or valid Egyptian passport
- Have completed a power of attorney document (available below). Do not sign the document. You are required to sign it at the Consulate.
- Book an appointment
- Fees: AUD $105.00 (Cash)
Applicants who do not satisfy the above requirements
If you can not be present at the Consulate, or do not hold a valid Egyptian National ID card or a valid Egyptian passport, alternatively documents can be notarized by an Australian Notary Public for the use in Egypt.
This is a four-step process which requires the following:
Step 1: Complete a power of attorney document (Template documents available below).
Step 2: Have your documents executed in front of an Australian Notary Public.
Step 3: Have the signature and seal of the Notary Public authenticated by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Step 4: Submit the document to the Consulate for authentication. (Document Authenticate Service)
