Visa - Category B:

Introduction

This category is for Egyptians (including their spouses and children) who are traveling to Egypt on their foreign passport and need a visa.

Apply for the Visa directly from the Consulate

To apply for your visa from the Consulate General of Egypt in Sydney, please lodge your application within 90 days from your intended travel date. Application lodgements are either in person or by mail.

Required Documents:

Completed Visa Application form
1 passport-sized photo (white background, same standards as Australian Passport)
Original Passport valid with more than 6 months validity from the date of intended entry to Egypt.
Fees are waived if the applicant has the following proof of Egyptian Origins:
- If the applicant has Egyptian nationality
  - Valid Egyptian national ID card or Valid Egyptian passport
- If the applicant has an Egyptian Parent:
  - Birth certificate for the applicant
  - Valid Egyptian national ID card or Valid Egyptian passport for the parent
- If the applicant has an Egyptian spouse:
  - Marraige certificate for the applicant
  - Valid Egyptian national ID card or Valid Egyptian passport for the spouse

*If the above proof of Egyptian origins is NOT available, please review visa category A or C to apply for a Visa.

Lodging the Application

In Person:

Lodge the application with the required documents and at the Consulate during our public hours.

No appointment required.

Collection of your passport is within 5 working days. (Please note the date of collection will be confirmed upon your lodgement)

By Mail:

Visa extensions are done directly from the General Administration of Passports Immigration and Nationality Department (الإدارة العامة للجوازات والهجرة والجنسية) in El-Abaseya, Cairo.
