FOR AUSTRALIANS AND ALL OTHER NATIONALITIES (EXCEPT COUNTRIES listed in Category B):

You may apply for the visa at the Consulate General, within 90 days from travel date, in person, or by sending the required documents by mail. It is mandatory to have a least 6 months validity from the date of travel.

• Required Documents:
  • Application Form completed
  • Original Passport valid for more than 6 months.
  • One recent photo white background 4*6 cm (Australian Passport-Photo size is acceptable).
  • Business Invitation Letter (For Business Visa Only).
  • Return Registered Envelope (Only if applying by Post).
  • Visa Fees: $5.00 Application fee + Visa fee noted in the table below
    • Payment in Cash if lodging application in person
    • Payment by Australia Post money order or bank check (personal/business checks are not accepted), and must be payable to the “Consulate General of Egypt”.

How to lodge:

• In-person during Consulate walk-in hours of 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday to Friday
• By mail:
  • Applicants in New South Wales, Queensland, or Northern Territory are directed to mail their required documents, payment, and self-addressed prepaid registered envelope.
  • Mail using a registered envelope to our postal address: GPO BOX 1258, Sydney NSW 2001

Additional Notes:

• A Diplomatic Letter stating detailed purpose and dates of travel is a requirement for any Diplomatic/Official Passport Holders.
• Visas are valid for 6 months from the date of issuance and have a maximum duration of stay of 3 months.
• Visa processing time is 5 working days from the date of lodgement if no approval is required (excluding any postage time).
